Alberta Professional Investigator Training

Peerless Training Institute is offering the Alberta Professional Investigator Training (AIT) Course, with an exam, at below cost to all qualified applicants. The Security Services and Investigators Act requires any person in Alberta who works in any of the investigation service positions listed below to have a license.

To obtain this license, an individual must complete a mandatory training program and write a provincial exam. The course outcomes for this training are intended to provide participants with knowledge and skills in their roles and responsibilities as investigation professionals.

Program Description:

  • Upon successful completion of this authorized Professional Investigator Training, an individual will be eligible to write the mandatory Solicitor General’s provincial exam. The Solicitor General Registrar will issue a certificate of completion upon passing the exam with 80% or better, after which an individual may apply for his/her Professional Investigator License.
  • Proctored Exam
  • Peerless Training Institute is a certified proctoring site for the Professional Investigator’s and Basic Security mandatory provincial exam. We conduct exams at the end of these 50 hours courses.
  • Course Fee: $ 600.00.  Includes notes, ebooks, and exam fees.
  • Available on Saturday and Sunday: 8 hours/day.  50 hours.

Admission Requirements:

To enroll in the course, individuals much meet the following criteria.

  • At least 18 years old
  • Fluent in speaking English
  • No serious criminal convictions that have not been pardoned
  • Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Work Permit.
