Pharmacy Assistant Diploma

Pharmacy Assistant Diploma Program focuses on the career knowledge and skills that you’ll need to thrive in the pharmacy and pharmaceutical industry. Courses include Health & Ethics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Calculations, Compounding, Community & Institutional Pharmacies Procedures, and much more. We also focus on pharmacy software and computer skills, workplace, and team skills.

At the end of your theory, you will participate in a field-related practicum in various community pharmacies where you can put your training into practice and graduate with experience, skills, and confidence.

Program Description

  1. A major part of the Pharmacy Assistant Diploma program at PTI is gaining an understanding of what goes into the medications we use every day.
  2. In the course of a day, pharmacy assistants handle many different tasks, including clerical work, retail sales, filling prescription orders, and updating drug and doctor information in pharmacy computer systems.
  3. As part of the program, you will receive hands-on training in compounding, pharmaceutical calculations, and the fundamentals of pharmacology.

Course Duration

  1. One Year: 1040 Hours: 52 Weeks Program
  2. Theory:840 Hours
  3. Practicum: 200 Hours
  4. 20 hours per week
    Classes are held Mornings, Evenings or Weekends 
  5. Practicum: Monday to Friday: shift times vary at practicum sites days/evenings. There is a possibility of weekend shifts depending on the practicum site. 

Standard Admissions Requirement

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; Successful interview with school administration; Able to read, write and speak English fluently (CLBA-6 or IELTS 5.5 in all bands); Current immunization report (MMR, TB test, HEP B) Clean criminal background. 


Mature Admission Requirements

8 years of age, successful completion of the PTI Wonderlic Entrance Exam with a minimum score of 20, successful interview with PTI representative, current immunization report (MMR, TB test, HEP B), clear criminal background check.

Tuition Fee ~ $16,800
